Portuguese Dance can be traced to 16th Century. Two popular dances are Branyo and Farapeirra.

Branyo favoured by older generations. Male dancers wear Western-like costumes while female dancers wear baju kebaya and batik. Beat and rhythm similar to the Malay joget.

Farapeira is for youngesters. The dance resembles the cheerful life of the youngsters. Couples dressed in costume of the traditional Portuguese descendents of Melaka. Guitars and tambourines are used to make fast beats and rhythms.
