Slide – Mulu National Park

12 species of bats have been recorded in the Deer cave.

As the sun sets, the Bat Hawks wait at the cliff face. Each evening the bats gather at the entrance in ring shape formations, circling higher and higher up the cliff face before moving out in spiralling ribbons.

Eat bat consumes 5 to 10 gram of flying insects, when they return home, the cave will be home to millions of insects and predators. The bat leaves the cave between 5:30 – 6:30pm and travel up to 100km from the cave.

Clearwater cave is navigable by boat.
